Many of these melodies are evergreen until today with the Punjabi music lovers. Great numbers from films like Posti, Pind Di Kuri, Bhangra, Yamla Jatt and others are ever popular. All those melodis present characteristic Punjabi music and vocal rendering.

Punjabi films have been a major part of production every year. Films like Chanway, Heer, Dulla Bhatti, Chhoo Mantar, Mahi Munda, Yakke Wali, Pattan, Waris Shah, Choorian, Heer Ranjha, and a large number of others were full of hit songs that survived the test of time and are collectors' items today.
